Many people think that adopting one sibling and not the other is fine.  However, siblings go through a lot of pain and struggle together before they are adopted.  Sibling relationships do matter. It may not matter to the adoptive parents, the orphanage workers, or the foster care workers. But it matters to the most to the siblings. They have gone through so many hardships together that their bond is stronger when they have each other by their side.
